encouraging mobility for a lifetime
We are a team of podiatrists working from the single location. Each specialises in different fields with all treating all patients for common problems.
Ainslie has been practising podiatry in Buderim since graduating from QUT with a Diploma in Applied Science – Podiatry (with Distinction) in 1991. Ainslie continued her studies through Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh with a Bachelor and Masters degrees in Podiatry. Running the business has been supported by the completion of and Executive- MBA through University of the Sunshine Coast and completing The Company Directors course. Ainslie was a company director with the Australian Podiatry Association, the peak body for podiatry representation in Australia for over 10 years, with 2 of those years as President. Ainslie also had teaching responsibilities with QUT podiatry students over 8 years and concluded through teaching at UWS-online through the COVID pandemic.
Ainslie has a keen interest in the high risk foot, which includes diabetes, neuropathy and rheumatoid foot conditions. Ainslie is currently a PhD candidate through QUT with a research topic on ‘Improving the screening for diabetes related peripheral neuropathy.’ The best thing about podiatry is “just helping people on a one to one basis. I like the way podiatry goes from diagnosing and assessing through to treatment for foot and leg problems.”
Ainslie is accredited to visit the Sunshine Coast Private Hospital in Buderim.
For more about Ainslie see her Linked in profile.
Shaun graduated in Podiatry in 2001 from Curtin University WA. This is his second career having previously served in the Australian Navy. An interest in Human Biology led to him looking at his career options in Allied health.
He enjoys all aspects of Podiatry and treating patients from a young age to those with added seniority. Making a difference in peoples lives is what Shaun enjoys, helping reduce pain from in-grown toenails, post bone fractures or soft tissue aches, strains and sprains.
Outside of Podiatry Shaun is an avid AFL fan and torment’s himself by supporting the spectacularly unsuccessful Fremantle Dockers. He and his wife have three grown sons and recently became a Grandparents to a beautiful little girl.
Cate joined Buderim Podiatry in September 2011. Cate has many years experience as a podiatry receptionist and brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. If you have questions about how, what and when regarding health funds, Medicare, DVA transport, Cate will have the answers.
Nicole has returned to Buderim Podiatry as a receptionist/podiatry assistant. Nicole used to work with Ainslie at the old Ballinger Road site- just a few years ago ;).
Christopher is an experienced podiatrist hailing from South Australia. Christopher does some of our house calls and also works at the Buderim practice. Christopher has been part of the Buderim Podiatry team for over 4 years. Christopher is experienced in general podiatry care, previously termed chiropody.
Darren has joined the practice in 2024 in an Allied health or Podiatry Assistant role. Darren assists Ainslie pre-consultation and gives the feet the much-needed application of emollient at the end. As he’ll tell you he has swapped souls for soles.
